About Chalet Fleur des Neiges ...
If a quiet location close to the telecabine and all the amenities of a thriving village are on your holiday wishlist, Chalet La Fleur des Neiges will tick all your boxes!
Set on a private road just a short walk from Le Grand Bornand, this beautifully refurbished 5 star chalet sleeps eight adults and four children in five bedrooms, including a superb double bunk room next to the media room on the lower ground floor, making it perfect for families.
Once you're there, you can park the car up and take the frequent ski buses to the pistes (the nearest bus stop is 200m away), or you can drive the short distance to the lifts and pistes. The large balcony off the living room and the downstairs terrace have spectacular views across the Aravis chain, winter and summer, day and night.
The property ...
No expense has been spared refurbishing this chalet, and giving it the little touches that turn a good holiday into a great one - a Sonos sound system, sumptuous fabrics and furniture and the best quality mattresses to guarantee a good night's sleep.
Space and mountain chic combine in this beautiful home, so that you and your friends or family will never feel on top of each other. There are five bedrooms: a double bedroom with en suite shower room on the ground floor and two doubles (one of which can be arranged as a twin) and two bathrooms on the first floor.
There are two more bedrooms and a further bathroom on the lower ground floor - a double bunk room for four children and a double room - as well as convenient utility room with kit room including boot warmers and ski racks. The four newly-renovated bathrooms will mean you never have to wait for your turn in the morning, so that you can be the first on the pistes!
The main living area, which opens on to a fabulous furnished terrace, has two seating areas, one of which has a fireplace. There is also a media room with a large flat screen TV, Wii, and DVD player on the lower ground floor, which opens on to a new furnished terrace which shares the same views as the balcony. There's a cosy reading corner on the mezzanine floor.
The well-equipped kitchen has a large range cooker, and there's plenty of room for everyone around the large dining table. On sunnier days, the large terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a meal, and the fresh mountain air is sure to help you work up an appetite.
About the area ...
You can see the telecabine from Chalet La Fleur des Neiges but you will need to take the shuttle bus, which runs every 15 minutes between Chinaillon and Le Grand Bornand, or your car, to go skiing each day. The ski buses also serve La Clusaz.
Your Aravis ski pass covers the buses and more than 200km of pristine pistes, in the resorts of Le Grand Bornand, La Clusaz and Manigod, so there's plenty of challenge for skiers and boarders of all abilities. There are also plenty of cross-country trails.
Non-skiers won't be bored either, try hiking or snowshoeing, paragliding, hot air ballooning, ice skating or ice-climbing. Le Grand Bornand boasts the Famille Plus mark, ensuring that it there is always entertainment and activities for even the youngest visitors.
When you get back to Chalet La Fleur des Neiges at the end of a busy day you can enter via the bootroom, which has a bootwarmer so that all your gear will always be warm and dry when you need it. Then you can just relax in the sauna and plan your next mountain adventure.
In the summer, a network of walking and biking trails criss-cross the slopes, and you can pick up a route map for either at the tourist office. For keen cyclists, the chalet is pretty much on the Col de Colombiere so it's a good base for cycling. The boot room is set up for bike storage and Michael (the manager) has cycle route cards and GPS routes. There is an outside tap and hose to wash bikes and tool kits in the boot room.
Le Grand Bornand has a beautiful 9 hole golf course with a great driving range, and for those very hot days head for the fantastic swimming pool complex, with a restaurant and grassy areas for picnics.
If you’re looking for something a little more challenging, there’s a climbing school, via ferrata routes, a tree-top adventure park, canyoning, white-water rafting and paragliding all nearby.
August sees the International Children’s Festival in Le Grand Bornand - a week of puppet shows, circus acts and workshops, with a grand firework finale. It’s always hugely popular, so make sure you book early to guarantee a holiday you’ll never forget!
If you like the sound a great family holiday at Chalet La Fleur des Neiges, check your dates against our availability calendar - we can hold the property for you for 24 hours to give you time to make up your mind. But don't hang around - this fabulous chalet is very popular with OVO Network guests!

The OVO Network Review
“"... perfect for extended families, or, two or three families who want to experience all the best that Grand Bornand has to offer with spectacular views thrown in."”
Fleur des Neiges is a 5 bedroom 5 bathroom chalet for 12 (max 8 adults), 280m2 of space spread over 3 floors.
The chalet has been completely renovated in phases by the owners, since purchased in 2015, and features sparkling and luxurious bathrooms, a newly fitted kitchen, new terraces, a new secure wet kit room with separate access which ensures dry kit each morning and that the main chalet remains warm and dry. There's a fireplace for cosy winter evenings in, a quiet reading corner on the mezzanine, and a sauna. With bedrooms and bathrooms on all three floors this chalet is perfect for extended families, or, two or three families who want to experience all the best that Grand Bornand has to offer, with spectacular views thrown in, all year round!
With all new furniture, beds, mattresses, bed linens and towels offering style and comfort, as well as new soft furnishings, lamps lighting and art work, creating a unique ambience, this spacious chalet has plenty of room for groups or families to spread out as well as dedicated areas for little ones to play, everyone to watch films or listen to music, read or simply take in the stunning scenery, indoors and out, all year round.
The spacious balcony off the middle floor is one of the best suntraps ever, and has stunning constantly evolving views over the spectacular Bouchet valley - sunsets in particular are just breathtaking, but it's equally pleasant at breakfast time.
The proximity to Grand Bornand and the ski fields means that if you enjoy a walk you are never far away from the local amenities and facilities.
One extra advantage for groups which include younger children is that the chalet is at the end of a cul de sac so there are no anxieties about through traffic, there isn’t any apart from vehicles going to the neighbouring properties.
The owners will next be turning their attention to the outdoor areas - watch this space!

It really is a dream come true...
In May 2011, during a cycling tour of the Alps, we climbed the legendary Col de Colombiere. The descent finished in the beautiful village of Le Grand Bornand and it was there drinking a cold beer overlooking the church and mountains that we fell in love with this beautiful part of France. Le Grand Bornand with its traditional French feel, warm welcome and year-round activities convinced us this was the ideal location for family vacations. Having found Le Grand Bornand we found the perfect retreat, "Chalet La Fleur des Neiges" with its panoramic views of the mountains and only a few minutes to the centre of the village and the ski lifts. It really is a dream come true. Whether you are skiing, cycling or simply relaxing we trust you will enjoy Chalet Fleur des Neige, the surrounding area and sharing in our dream!

We had an unforgettable week in this magnificent chalet and look forward to coming back.

“Spacious, well designed and very well conceived”
The village of Grand Bornand is charming - friendly, typically Savoyard and on a human scale. As for the chalet, it is spacious, well designed and perfectly thought out for a holdiay for several families with children of different ages. We had a magnificent week, which added to the success of the holiday. I highly recommend Fleur des Neiges to other people looking to hire a holiday home. The manager, Mickael, is very welcoming and efficient.

“Cosy and comfortable”
We had a lovely stay at Chalet Fleur des Neiges. It has a very cosy and comfortable feeling. The bedding is very good quality and the layout is convenient for several couples. Being so close to the village and the ski bus is a bonus, but we recommend using the car, which we quickly realised was important for getting to the pistes in the school holidays.

“Great place !”
We had a wonderful stay in Fleur des Neiges as a place to rest after hiking about half of the Tour du Mont Blanc with our children. The house is in fantastic condition and had everything we needed. It is easily walkable to town, especially great for the Wednesday market. The high ropes course was fun for everyone. Day trip to swim in Lake Annecy at Menthon was perfect. Nice day of hiking around Col des Aravis as well. As for the booking process, Ovo Network pictures & info are excellent and we had great communication from Michael.

“High level of facilities”
A very beautiful chalet in a very sunny spot with a high level of facilities. An excellent standard of comfort (good quality beds). Nothing was in bad taste or of poor quality. The view and mountain environment are perfect for walkers or skiers. We had a very good fortnight.

“What a great place it is!”
We have just finished our holiday in your chalet, and what a fantastic place it is. I'm writing just to say thanks for the opportunity and the use of your place. We really enjoyed it, and the way you have set it up. Michael the manager was excellent too and looked after us well and answered all our questions.
Andrew B. - 26/12/2015
“Bravo ! ”
We had a lovely time in this very lovely chalet: clean, well laid out; well decorated and with plenty of room for all of us to do our own things. The management as well as the decor matched our expectations perfectly. Everything was done to make us feel at home. Well done for the quality of service and thank you to Michael for his kindness and his availability. It was great being so close to the ski lifts. Thank you for this lovely experience.

Why Le Grand Bornand?
Le Grand Bornand is an idyllic Alpine village which happens to be surrounded by some great skiing and in summer, a superb mountain playground. There are none of the huge hotel complexes you'll find in other ski resorts – just a friendly welcome all year round. Families are particularly welcome, with a great programme of activities to keep kids of all ages busy and happy.
